The majestic Pisang Peak (6091m) stands as a gateway to the Himalayan wonders between Annapurna I and Manaslu. A relatively straightforward climb, Pisang Peak beckons adventure enthusiasts to conquer its summit, making it the most sought-after trekking peak in the Annapurna region.

The ascent of Pisang Peak unveils a captivating journey through diverse ecosystems, rich cultures, and awe-inspiring landscapes. While considered one of the more manageable climbs in the Himalayas, a commendable level of fitness and health is strongly recommended to undertake this thrilling adventure.

Pisang Peak, first conquered by a German expedition in 1955, has since become a popular mountain, offering a perfect blend of challenge and accessibility. Rising as a uniform slope above Pisang village, it transforms into a snow and ice slope at its summit, providing climbers with a rewarding yet manageable climb.

The climb commences from Besisahar in the Marsyangdi River Valley, leading through sparse wood and pasture to the base camp at Pisang village and a Kharka at 4,380m. The ideal base camp setup is complemented by a high camp at 5,400m, strategically positioned on the South-West Ridge shoulder.

As you ascend, Pisang Peak showcases the unique biodiversity of the region, with distinct flora and fauna making the journey all the more enchanting. The trail unfolds captivating views of Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna, and Lamjung Himal, providing a visual feast for trekkers.

The trek seamlessly integrates with the Manaslu trek track at Dharapani, leading to Pisang Peak. The trail takes you through the diverse landscapes of the Annapurna Himalaya range, ultimately reaching the pinnacle of the Thorong Pass at 5416m. The path continues to the renowned Muktinath temple, offering a spiritual and breathtaking conclusion to your adventure.
